Tamron 35-150mm F2-2.8 Di III VXD Announced
Tamron 35-150mm F2-2.8 Di III VXD is announced on 5th August 2021 in Saitama, Japan by Tamron, along with another lens, Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2. 35-150mm F2-2.8 Di III VXD is the world’s first mirrorless zoom lens with a maximum aperture of f/2. The lens is for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras. According to Tamron, the lens will be released this year itself.
The lens will come with the VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism. Tamron claims that it can bring very high-speed and high-precision autofocus for this fast-aperture lens. Tamron guarantees an outstanding optical performance throughout the range. The minimum focusing distance of the lens is mentioned as 0.33m.
Further, this lens is compatible with the new ‘TAMRON Lens Utility’ software. The lens functions can be customized and the firmware can be updated via this software.
